Celebrating 35 years of spinning, weaving and dyeing in Durham

Spinning and Weaving demonstrations

Members of the Guild were on hand most days to demonstrate a variety of techniques for spinning yarns and weaving.

Family Fun Day

Sunday 12 July 10.00am - 4.00pm, at the Durham World Heritage Site Visitor Centre, Owengate, Durham.

Members of the public were encouraged to try their hand at spinning and tapestry weaving, and watch demonstrations by Guild members.

The Four Seasons Exhibition at the DLI Museum

Guild members Norma Butcher & Susan Foulkes, displayed a rich assortment of woven and coloured textiles.

On display were Rainbow rugs, Fringed double weave scarves, natural silk and linen yarns and textured fabrics.
